Creative Process

While experimenting with an Avatar I was asked to develop, I created a compelling music video to showcase the many benefits PAGE offers its members. I took an unconventional approach—leveraging AI to handle nearly every aspect of production. The result was a deeply moving piece that required minimal resources beyond creativity, editing, and strategic software use.Concept DevelopmentThe project began on an unexpectedly snarky note.

 

One day, I challenged ChatGPT to "troll" the organization's website and write a song "that will make you cry." The AI-generated lyrics were astonishingly powerful, though they required significant refinement to align with the project's emotional intent and messaging. After extensive editing, the lyrics were ready for the next phase.

 

AI-Generated Music

Using Suno, I transformed the lyrics into a fully realized song. This process involved numerous iterations and careful prompt tweaking to achieve the right tone, melody, and emotional depth. After many attempts, the final composition met the desired aesthetic and impact.

 

Character Animation

For the video’s main character, I started with a stock Adobe Character Animator figure, modifying it in Photoshop to create a unique persona. This eliminated the need for custom animation from scratch. I then imported the finalized song into Character Animator, where I performed minimal motion capture—moving in the style of a singer-songwriter—to animate the character naturally.Visual

 

Design & Production

To set the scene, I created a digital tableau in Photoshop, reminiscent of a classic recording studio where legendary artists like The Allman Brothers might have recorded. The animation of the singer was then overlaid onto this backdrop. To further enhance the storytelling, I integrated a combination of images and video clips related to PAGE that visually reinforced the song’s lyrics and the organization's benefits.
