ABOUT ME
Wandering with Purpose: Turning Serendipitous
Detours into Unique Opportunities

JOURNEY
I’m a native Atlantan with a knack for writing, photography, content development, and storytelling.
My journey has been anything but a straight line—I’ve wandered through digital marketing, website development, visual storytelling, newspapers, and print, picking up skills and stories along the way. I live to mix creativity with data-driven insights, crafting content that sparks connections and keeps audiences coming back for more.
Over the years, I’ve created communication strategies for healthcare, non-profits, media organizations, and faith-based initiatives. Somewhere along the way, I picked up a few awards from the Georgia Press Association and other industry group for excellence in journalism, digital content creation, photography, and more—proof that when I put my mind to something, there’s not much I can’t master.

CURIOSITY
Always curious and never quite still, I love keeping up with the latest tech. Recently, I started incorporating AI into my work—because why not use a bit of digital magic to make good ideas even better? Of course, I do it thoughtfully and ethically, because no one likes a rogue robot.
I’m all about collaborating with others to turn ideas into reality. Whether it’s writing, designing, or capturing moments through a lens, I approach every project with curiosity, a dash of wit, and a love for learning. Analytics and performance metrics might not sound fun, but they’re my secret ingredients for refining strategies and keeping audiences engaged.

PERSONAL
I earned my Bachelor of Arts in English at Agnes Scott College, where—in the words of one of our many famous alumnae writers—“minds spark minds.” I've worked for some amazing organizations, including my hometown newspapers, my alma mater, and (most recently) Professional Association of Georgia Educators. Along the way, I've picked up several for my work from organizations like the Georgia Press Association, Suburban Newspapers of America, and the Georgia School Public Relations Association.
On Saturday mornings, you’ll find me volunteering as the photographer for NW Metro Atlanta Habitat for Humanity. I get to capture the stories and spirit of community building through powerful imagery—and sometimes, I even manage to catch the perfect candid moment.
My personal space is often inhabited by two wonderful canines. Rosie, a terrier mix, is in charge of home security (especially when Blower Guy, Lawnmower Guy, or UPS Driver get within 10 yards of the front door). Aslan, a Havanese, lives up to his name but exists in a constant state of bed head.

In 2022, volunteers from the Cobb County Catholic Coalition came together for this NW Metro Atlanta Habitat for Humanity build. Before the first nail was hammered, 2x4s destined to support the walls made a special detour to participating churches, where members paused to pen heartfelt well wishes—messages that would become a lasting part of the home’s story and structure. In 2024, the coalition celebrated building its 50th home. Nikon Z 6 with 24070 lens. Used with permission.
